Hurst Stores and Interiors has completed the fit-out of IKEA’s flagship Oxford Street store, marking a major milestone for the retailer’s first central London branch.

The project saw Hurst deliver a high-profile retail environment within the Grade II listed building at 214 Oxford Street, working as Principal Fit-Out Contractor on behalf of IKEA. The works were carried out across the ground floor and two basement levels, creating a modern shopping destination in the heart of the capital.

Working within the constraints of a busy high street location, the project team carefully coordinated deliveries and secured an off-site unit to manage welfare and storage, ensuring the branch remained on schedule and on standard throughout.

The completed branch now offers a refreshed environment for customers and colleagues, strengthening Leeds Building Society’s presence in the town centre.
