IKEA – Westfield, Stratford City

Hurst delivered the fit out of Swedish retail giant IKEA’s new Order and Collection Point store. Located in the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre it is only the fourth of this type in the UK and the first ever within a shopping centre. At just 900 sq m it is a tenth of the size of a traditional megastore.

The aim of the store is to support a customer’s shopping experience by giving them the opportunity to engage with staff, ask questions and touch and feel the products. It will primarily act as a planning studio for complex purchases such as kitchens, wardrobes and sofa’s etc..

The store features the ‘IKEA Village’ constructed by Hurst, these houses display typical room sets on two levels providing ideas and inspiration for customers.
